My
theatrical and musically rich childhood in Oxfordshire, England led me
to composition via an eclectic collection of educational experiences, scientific and artistic.
On leaving school I studied electronic engineering for four years before moving
to Hull
to study Philosophy. Drawing on my practical and conceptual experiences, I spent time
in London's West End as a prop and set designer/maker which led me to the crazy world of themed
attraction 'imagineering'.
I was working as an animatronic engineer building robotic monsters and special effects when I had the
opportunity
to start designing soundscapes, atmospheres and writing music for the attractions
I was building. Thus I combined my musical passion with my multi-disciplined education
and found a home working alongside creatives and clients alike.
Since the late 90's
I have been working closely with story-tellers, film makers and
experience designers to bring the world of sound to their world of visions.
In 2004 I moved to rural france and found enough peace
to pursue my own musical projects and continue
my commercial work.
